We still have some open days in the next few months...so give us a call and book a charter for your group. We do offer a discounted rate for chartering the WHOLE boat...at $3560. Also, beginning Wednesday, June 21st, we will be incorporating our underwater camera into our periodic 2+ hour Blackstone sightseeing trips (need at least 6 to make these work). This is a great opportunity to not only see some awesome sights on and above the water, but below it too!

Our 2017 Crew on the “Eye of the Storm”

Captain Jeff

Be it kayak, canoe, dingy, zodiac, pontoon, river boat, ship, or yacht… if it floats, Jeff Gorton has piloted it. He has over 20 years of experience on the ocean waters of Alaska. Jeff was raised in Alaska and is the proud father of three sons – ages 10, 15, and 18. When he’s not wrangling boys, he also enjoys spending time at his cabin in Willow that he built from the ground up. During the winter, you can find him hitting the trails on his snow machine or sharing (only slightly exaggerated) stories around the campfire. After 13 years of working in the oil fields of the North Slope, Jeff is finally able to pursue his first love of being on the ocean and sharing all that he has learned about the beauty and uniqueness of Alaska with everyone aboard.

Deckhand Satch

Satch Gorton will be your always friendly and positive deckhand. Satch was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. As the son of an avid sportsman (Captain Jeff), he has been on the ocean since he was 2 years old. For 15 years, he spent most of his weekends, summers and vacations exploring both Prince William Sound and the waters of Southeast Alaska, shrimping, crabbing and fishing on the family boat. Satch truly enjoys fishing and hunting, taking the opportunity to do both whenever he gets a chance.

During the past school year, Satch lived in Kenai and was enrolled in the Process Technology program at Kenai Peninsula College. He returned home to Anchorage on the weekends. Regarding his work this summer, in his words, “I am very fortunate to have landed this great summer job as a deckhand on the ‘Eye of the Storm’ and I am very excited about all of the adventures that lie ahead.”
