Current Fishing Reports – Whittier Halibut Charters Prince William Sound News

This page is dedicated to keeping you up-to-date on the success of Whittier Halibut Charters, Whittier Salmon Charters, and general news about Prince William Sound.  Halibut fishing in Prince William Sound tends to be excellent most of the year as long as you have a Charter Captain that is experienced and knowledgeable of the fishery in the area.

Departing from the town of Whittier, Halibut Charter Boats tend to be booked in advance so you will want to call ahead to make sure that there will be room for you and  your party.  Dave Goldstein of PWS Eco Charters is one of Whittier’s finest captains and fishing guides.  He lives in Whittier year round and runs one of the most successful Whittier Halibut Charters in the area.

Fresh caught Alaskan Halibut and Salmon are some of the most delicious fish you will ever eat.  When you arrive back at the dock your fish will be cleaned and filleted.  To keep your catch fresh on your journey home you will want to keep it in a cooler on ice.  If your home is not Alaska you will want to freeze it.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask Captain Dave about the different resources we have in Whittier to help you with your catch.
